Great service, we needed a couple of door knobs before Christmas for some rooms relatives were staying in. Ordered at 2pm received the next morning. The beehive door knobs are excellent quality , and so pleased I can finish the doors off.

I have just ordered another letter box & cover as I think the large one is but big for our door I haven’t time to wait for exchange due to builders deadline. So, I’ve just ordered the small set on the next day delivery Option. and I’ll return the large ones

was looking for a specific type of exterior front door handle . Period looking but able to fit modern euro locks and it had to be spring loaded , so being heavy it would always go back into the neutral position.
Period House quickly came up on my web search.
In a world of buying through online retailers my experience dealing with Period house was excellent. Excellent because it was easy to speak to a real human to clarify certain features and checking that it was in stock before placing the online order. Also they had someone who was prepared to phone me back with an answer to a question of mine that was not obvious at first call. This service made sure I was buying the correct item.. I am certain that in the event of further help ,after sales , the support would still be there… oh I forgot to mention it also arrived super quick , order placed on a Friday …. delivered Saturday am … how’s that for service ? A big thank you to the company.

We are delighted with the quality of this door and it works well with the original doors. Emma at Period House was very helpful and the delivery service was excellent.
This is not the first thing that we have ordered from Period House, we know that they sell very good quality products, provide good advice and great customer service.

Brilliant store that always go above and beyond with their customer service. We have bought a number of cast iron radiators whilst renovating two houses. The products are always spot on and Emma is always on hand to chase up deliveries and solve any issues that may arise. A really great place if you want quality products you can rely on.

I’ve always had excellent customer service from the team and I find their prices are competitive. When I have a large order I’ll work with them on price.
I feel that they have gone the extra mile each time in terms of sourcing the exact pieces I need and they have kindness at the centre of how they treat customers.

Hello!!
Just wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone at period house store, in particular Emma and Jonny (sorry if I’ve got Jonnys name wrong I’m not great with names at times)!
Over the years we’ve now bought 4 radiators from yourselves, each one is perfect, the customer service has been second to none, especially with this last radiator which has been delivered this morning. I’ve had to ring a few times for updates but only because I’m due a baby next week and we’ve been anxious to get it in before the baby arrives. Both Emma and Jonny have always been on the ball and got back to me promptly with updates. Delivery has always been easy and quick!
When the time comes for new radiators downstairs we will certainly be back, although hopefully I won’t be pestering you so much next time haha!
Thank you all so much for your help, baby can arrive anytime now and I can relax so I really can’t thank you enjoy

here.We offer a two tier delivery system. Palletised deliveries and standard courier deliveries. Our palletised deliveries include cast iron radiators and cast iron fireplaces, and standard courier delivery which includes our period door furniture. Items such as kitchens are variable and we quote this separately. Charges to remoter parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales can attract a surcharge.
We advise our customers to read this section as palletised deliveries are there to generally to deliver large and heavy items and its best to be prepared so ensure the delivery goes smoothly.
For International deliveries we provide a bespoke delivery quotation, please feel free to place your order and we will contact you with the delivery costs or alternatively contact us before you place your order for precise delivery costs.
Palletised Deliveries
Our palletised deliveries will be shipped by an independent haulage company using a HGV. When shipped using this method the haulage company will attempt to deliver pallets as close as possible to your main entrance, usually to the closest hard-standing area. The drivers are not contracted to remove items from the pallet, or to carry items into the customer’s property due to their insurance. Clients should warn the Company if there is restricted access, or gravelled driveways etc.
Cast iron radiators and cast iron fireplaces are very heavy items and usually need 2 strong people to move them, the larger radiators may need more.
The customer must make sure there is someone in the house on the agreed delivery date. We can arrange for the courier to call you 1 hour before delivery. Our standard delivery times are between 9am and 5pm for timed, and/or Saturday deliveries which can be arranged at an additional charge contact our office to arrange. The Company reserves the right to charge a redelivery fee should a redelivery be necessary. Cast iron radiators are very heavy, please ensure that there is sufficient manpower to unload the pallet.
Standard Courier Deliveries
We mostly use DHL/UK Mail, DPD and TNT/FedEx for our deliveries. The products we ship using this method are generally able to handled by 1 person. You should be in to take delivery on the agreed date, however if you are out the courier will leave a card for you to contact your local depot to make arrangements.
Please be aware you must inspect the goods for damage prior to signing the delivery notes. If for what reason you are unable to inspect the goods sign the sheet as unchecked.
Returns
Period House Store complies with the Consumer Rights Act, which is detailed below at which.co.uk, this is a good reference guide for both ourselves and our customers enabling us to work within the law and offer best practice when it comes to returns and refunds.

- If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item to us in its original condition and packaging within 30 days of receipt.
- Returned items should be unused and must be returned in original packaging with any enclosed documentation. We will issue a full refund on receipt, excluding the original delivery charge. Alternatively, if preferred, we will exchange the item.
- Please note:
- Goods will only be accepted for return if they are dispatched within 30 days of delivery, unless we have notified you otherwise.
- Bespoke and made to measure goods are non-returnable.
- The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore for your own protection we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
- The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
- Delivery charges are only refundable where goods are faulty and a refund is made.
- We have 14 days in which to issue the refund, however generally this is within 2/3 days.
- We recommend that customers return goods for refund or exchange using Parcel2Go.com or Royal Mail Signed for Service.

Faulty Goods / Errors
We work carefully to ensure that all our items are delivered in the safest possible way and that they arrive to you in perfect condition. In the event that your item has arrived damaged or if there is an error with the item you have received, please email us within 3 days of receipt to advise. We will contact you to discuss replacement of the item or component part.
